Green tea which originated in ancient China was brought by the monks and traders into Japan during the Nara Period (710-1192), along with Buddhism. Matcha, or powdered green tea, is an indispensable part of Japanese culture.
The "World of Japanese Tea - a message for ASEAN customers", organized by the Malaysia Tea Association, has been held today successfully with two incredible speakers from Japan, Mr.Takashi Sazuka, Secretary General, Japan Tea Export Promotion Council and Ms. Ami Sugiyama, Executive Director of Secai Marche Sdn. Bhd.
