2020 Myung Won World Tea Expo Korea

Organized by Myung Won Cultural Foundation, Korean Federation of Tea Ceremony and Black Tea Association, 2020 Myung Won World Tea Expo Korea was held successfully at COEX B Hall in Seoul, Korea on August 7th. The total exhibition area is 8000 sq.m. and over 150 exhibitors from Korea and foreign countries participated in the expo. Lee Eun-Sook, the Former Minister of Korea, Dr. Yang-Seok Yoo, the Professor Kookmin University and Vice Chair of Korean Tea Society, Yuk Soo Hwa, the Professor of Kyung In University, and Lee In Jae, the Tea Humanistic Education teacher from Ansung Region of Korea attended the Korea Tea Humanistic Education Conference and deliver a speech in the morning. Prime Minister Chung Sye-Kyun, the Chair of Myung Won Cultural Foundation, Kim Eui-Jung, and Mayors from the largest tea producing regions Boseong County and Hadong County participated in the opening ceremony in the afternoon.  Affected by the COVID-19, foreign guests were unable to attend. The head of tea institutions from China, UK, Canada, Australia, Sri Lanka and other countries recorded congratulatory videos. Wei You, the General Secretary of the International Union of Tea Industry Cooperation, was also invited to record the congratulatory video.

This year is a very special year as it represents the 100th year anniversary for the birth of Kim Myung Won, the pioneer of Korean tea. Myung Won 100th Anniversary Exhibition, Korean Tea Package Design Exhibition, Korea Tea Humanistic Education Conference, World Tea Forum, Color & Free Your Mind-Tea Talk Show, Five Direction Tea Ceremony were held at the same time.
